After a difficult week 3, 7AM with yet another tough match up came into week 4 with a point to prove. With a league debut handed to Support sub Puppe due to Mark’s unavailability, preparation was more important than ever if 7AM wanted to overthrow Aethra Esports. A team maybe not meeting the expectations put upon them yet this split, this was seen by some as an opportunity for the underdog though unfortunately this did not go to plan and 7AM ended the day with their 4th defeat of the season.
We had a chat with Puppe to see what he thought about the match against Aethra.
So Puppe, how did you feel about your Belgian League debut?
“It was super exciting! I was really happy to play in an ERL for the first time and to show what I can do. I won’t lie, even though I have many games under my belt with my previous teams, I still felt like a nervous wreck coming in to the match.”
We could see it was a tough game, what will you take away from it?
“The game was tough for real, I had 4 days to prepare for the match with the team, where we found some problems that also showed up in the official match. I also made a few mistakes during laning and positioning, so I wish I could’ve shown a bit better side of myself. I think the team can still take a lot of pointers from the game, but I believe we’ll be able to fix them. Personally I’ll be working on making sure I won’t make the same mistakes again, so that I will be able to help the team to win the next time I show”
As we reach the half-way point in the Summer Split, 7AM will be back up against RSCA this Monday. Let’s hope 7AM can put their first week nervous showing against RSCA behind them and put another win on the board. Catch the match live this Monday 29/6 from 19:00 CEST on twitch.tv/gameluxlol
